Bernstine talks camps and visits

Des Moines (Iowa) Lincoln defensive back Jordan Bernstine has attended a couple college football camps and may visit a few other schools before the end of the summer, but for the most part his immediate plans are to concentrate on his senior football season.
"I went to Notre Dame's camp for one day," Bernstine said. "And I went to a couple days of Iowa's camp.

"They were different. Notre Dame's one-day camp was more like a combine or tryout. Iowa was more help from coaches because they had more time.
"I'm all done with camps now. I might be able to visit some schools before the end of the summer, but I'm not sure right now."
Bernstine has many options to choose from.
"Right now I'm looking at the schools that have offered," he said. "As of right now I have 12 written offers. UCLA, Texas A&M, Iowa, Kansas State, Pitt, Nebraska, Illinois, Purdue, Kansas, Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa State."
Bernstine prefers not to name any favorites at this point.
"I don't have a timetable, but most likely I'll (pick a college) after the season," he said. "I'll probably take some official visits. Most likely I'll go to some schools for games."
He has a good idea what he is looking for when it comes time to make a decision.
"My main things are academics, the coaching staff has to be a coaching staff I like, and how I fit in," Bernstine said.
The 5-foot-10 and 200-pound Bernstine made 75 tackles and intercepted four passes during his junior season. He also rushed for 610 yards and scored eight times.
