Bercovici has busy schedule ahead

Michael Bercovici wants to be seen by a lot of college coaches this summer and his camp schedule proves it since the Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft pro-style quarterback plans to visit seven schools in the next couple months.
"This summer could be huge," Bercovici said Sunday at a B2G Sports workout in Los Angeles. "When I'm out here throwing I think I have one of the strongest arms to go along with good feet.

"Scouts definitely look from the feet up and hopefully I can attract their attention by not just having a good arm but fast feet in the pocket with a good body and hopefully pick up some offers by just going to camps."
Bercovici, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect who has impressive zip on his passes, said he will camp at Connecticut, UCLA, Southern Cal, Stanford, Washington, Oregon State and Boise State.
"It's been crazy," Bercovici said. "I didn't have much of a junior year last year (because he transferred) so I really have to promote myself at these camps. Hopefully I can be the best quarterback there and maybe get offered straight out of a camp."
Connecticut is showing the most interest and is expected to visit Bercovici next month. The Taft quarterback said Washington, UCLA and Oregon State are also heavily in the mix. He'd travel all the way to Storrs to play football and this summer's trip could go a long way in helping the Huskies.
"They're probably the most interested in me right now," Bercovici said. "If any team has that much interest in me I'm going to love playing for them. Coach (Randy) Edsall is a really nice guy so I'd definitely be interested in going there. Hopefully, when I go there I like what I see, they're an up-and-coming program, too."
Like many prospects, Bercovici had only positive things to say about Washington and he's certainly interested in playing for coach Steve Sarkisian and that program. Former Taft defensive end Brent Williams, a Washington signee, has talked up the Huskies and Bercovici has listened.
"I'm really interested in Washington," he said. "One of the kids on our team, Brent Williams, is going to Washington and he's been talking to me about that. He's been saying how beautiful it is up there.
"It just fits me because of their pro-style offense, it would be a good fit for me. I can go in there and compete right away because they don't have many quarterbacks on the roster right now so that could be good for me."
UCLA has always been a "dream school" so Bercovici is definitely interested in camping with the Bruins this summer in the hopes of getting more attention or even an offer. Oregon State is also in the running because the offense works and his family has raved about Corvallis.
"I want to go to a place where I can play right away so UCLA, my dad and I have dreamed about going to UCLA, going out to practices and stuff, so that could work," Bercovici said.
"I love that kind of area (at Oregon State.) My sister and dad visited one time and they said it's unlike anything you've ever seen. It's a big college town and everybody knows you around the school. I'm really interested in Oregon State, too."
