Bennett closes in on decision

University of Detroit Jesuit linebacker Parris Bennett has added to his offer list recently, but the time for teams to jump into his recruitment is ending as the 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker is close to committing.
"I will be deciding at the end of this month," Bennett said. "It will be sometime next week. I don't really having any [group] that it is coming down to, I am just trying to figure out who my top [school] is."

Key to determining who his top school is will be one or two more unofficial visits before making that decision. He has one visit scheduled and that will be to Syracuse on Friday.
"I haven't really seen the campus or anything," Bennett said. "I have a good relationship with the linebackers coach, so it is a pretty important visit to see how I feel walking around the campus and seeing the academic side of the school."
Bennett said a return visit to Pittsburgh could also happen before he makes a decision next week. The Detroit-area linebacker was on the Panther's campus earlier this month for a camp, where he earned an offer.
"I liked Pitt, but I didn't get to see their actual campus," Bennett said. "All I got to see was the athletic facilities."
Other schools that have offered Bennett a scholarship include Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Western Michigan.
