Benn misses FSU trip

Temporary bad news for Florida State fans could be worse news for Miami fans as Washington (D.C.) Dunbar wide receiver Arrelious Benn wasn't able to make his scheduled unofficial visit to Tallahassee this weekend. What does that mean for the 'Noles, Miami as well as Illinois and Notre Dame.
"With all the terrorist threats on Thursday, Regis (Benn) couldn't get out of D.C.," said Dunbar head coach Craig Jeffries. "He was really looking forward to his visit down there too, he really wants to see Florida State. He was supposed to go down Thursday and come back Friday night, but with all the delays at the airports there was no way."

Benn will surely take an official visit to FSU.
"He hasn't set up FSU just yet, but I think it will most likely be for the Troy game (Sept. 9) or the Clemson game (Sept.16)," Jeffries said. "He'll get down there no doubt. I know he also wants to take officials to Illinois and Notre Dame and he's going to wait and see on Miami."
Benn will take an official visit to Illinois, most likely for either the Eastern Illinois (Sept. 2) or Syracuse game (Sept. 16) and he'll go to Notre Dame for either the Penn State (Sept. 9) or Michigan (Sept. 16).
"He's trying to work out which games on which dates," said Jeffries. "He wants to make his decision in October because he's enrolling in January someplace."
Does Jeffries have a guess who leads?
"My best guess is that it will come down to Notre Dame and Florida State," he said. "He likes both of them and his official visits will decide."
