Benjamin announcing on Thursday

For quite a while, Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin expected to announce his decision on National Signing Day. But after a conversation with his family over the weekend, his timetable has been adjusted.
"I am going to announce on Thursday," Benjamin said. "Me and my family talked about it today and made that decision."

The Rivals100 wide receiver will choose between three in-state programs.
"It is going to be between the Florida schools, the top three are Florida, Florida State, and Miami," Benjamin said.
He talked about the hometown Hurricanes and what they have to offer.
"Miami is a good program, they have a lot of history," Benjamin said. "They get guys to where they dream of going and that is the NFL. I want to play there (the NFL) one day."
Benjamin says he doesn't know a great deal about Miami's new coach, Al Golden.
"I don't know anything really about him," Benjamin said. "I am going to try to find out some about him this week."
The Florida Gators have been a major player in Benjamin's recruitment since the start. They have made a lasting impression upon him.
"The program is really good," Benjamin said. "They have been recruiting me real heavily and telling me I can be a part of a big change in the program. They talked about how they didn't have the talent at my position that they usually have. Stuff like that. It is a really good opportunity. They are one of the nation's top programs."
As for their new coach, Will Muschamp, Benjamin is a bit more familiar with him and his accomplishments.
"I know he is a really good coach," Benjamin said. "They say he is a real good coach. I know he isn't a bad choice for them."
The final program that Benjamin will be considering when he makes his announcement is Florida State, who picked up their recruitment of the talented wideout following a visit he made over the summer to participate in a 7-on-7 camp.
"The coaches have just been talking to me a lot," Benjamin said. "They talk to me a lot about academics. There is a good relationship between the coaches and the players. They tell me that football will take care of itself."
At this time, Benjamin says he is not completely finished with making the decision, but he fully expects to be on Thursday afternoon.
"I have a pretty good idea but we are going to keep talking about it all week," Benjamin said. "By Thursday we will know where I am going, it will be 100%."
Benjamin has to work out final details with his coach regarding the announcement on Thursday.
