Bemenderfer commits to Northwestern

"I committed to Northwestern," Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn offensive lineman Thomas Bemenderfer said. "I visited there this past weekend.
"I just think it was the best fit for me. I love their football program. I got to be with the players on my visit and see what it's like.

"The coaches are really intense, but know what it's like to be a college student. Overall it's just a great school. It's somewhere I can feel at home for five years."
The 6-foot-5, 250 pound Bemenderfer had scholarship offers from Miami of Ohio, Illinois, and Ball State before selecting the Wildcats.
Bemenderfer helped lead his team to a 12-2 record this season. He played offensive tackle as well as some on the defensive line.
