Belton trims his list

For the first time Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township athlete Bill Belton has narrowed his list.
That doesn't mean Belton is anywhere near being ready to make a decision. In fact, ten schools are still in contention.

Prior to this weekend the 5-foot-9, 191-pound prospect was totally wide open to any school that had offered or shown interest. This is just the first step in moving towards a decision that is still a long way off.
"West Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Purdue, Oregon, Penn State, Cincinnati, Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh," Belton said, listing the schools he is still considering.
"I'm going to have my coach inform those schools (they are still in the running). Those schools stick out to me because they all have great football programs and offer a good education. There are just things I like about each one of them."
Belton plans on narrowing his list down from ten to five by "sometime in August or before the school year," and he will take official visits to those final five schools.
