Bellamy rethinking Clemson

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Punta Gorda (Fla.) Charlotte running back Mike Bellamy had heard the news before he even left the practice fields at Sunday's session of Under Armour All-American Game practice: Clemson, his school of choice, had fired offensive coordinator Billy Napier and running backs coach Andre' Powell.
"Right now we are kind of shaky right now," Bellamy said. "Our offensive coordinator just got fired and our running backs coach just got fired so I am going to talk to my coach tonight and see what happens."

While the firings of Napier and Powell likely are significant, neither was the five-star back's primary connection to Dabo Swinney's program.
"Brad Scott, he actually went to school with my mom," Bellamy said. "He is the only person that I think knows actually where I live. I live in a little small area, he is from there too."
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound back already has taken an official visit to Tennessee. When asked if other schools would emerge for his services, he didn't have much to say.
"I would rather not answer those questions right now," Bellamy said.
Bellamy, rated as the No. 2 running back and No. 14 overall recruit, said he would share more details about his recruitment on Monday after speaking with his coach.
