Bellamy delays Illinois official
Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt safety Travon Bellamy was planning to make an official visit this weekend to Illinois, but the 6-foot-0, 178-pounder with 4.4-second speed had to delay his trip. We asked Bellamy why and also when he plans to head to Champaign in the future.
"I can't make it this weekend as I have a game on Saturday at 2 p.m. and their game is at 6 p.m. so it obviously wouldn't work out," he said. "I talked to my recruiter there, Mike Locksley and told him I'm instead planning to visit them sometime in the first two weeks of December."

The three-star prospect plans to schedule officials with four other teams including UCLA, Purdue, Vanderbilt and North Carolina. Purdue hasn't been mentioned much in relation to Bellamy.
"I like that they have a strong program up there and a great team with a nice coaching staff," he said. "My recruiter Tony Samuel is a really down-to-earth guy and they haven't offered yet since they're waiting to see my film which we plan to send out this week, but if they are impressed they will offer.
"As for all the schools, I think they are pretty even with me. I like all of their environments, locations and the chance for early playing time as a true freshman. These five schools are the ones most likely to get official visits, but I'm still leaving myself open to any other schools."
The No. 46 safety in the country has helped Eleanor Roosevelt to a 5-1 record.
