Indianapolis (Ind.) Brebeuf Jesuit all-purpose back LeVante Bellamy has not made any recent recruiting visits, but he kicks off a series of campus stops next week.
"On the 29th I am going to Tennessee," Bellamy reported. "We have a 7-on-7 there, so we are going there as a team. I heard they have nice facilities so I have been waiting to see them. I get written letters from their coaches every day.
"I am going down to Illinois I think April 6 for a spring game. The running backs coach wants to meet me and he said if everything checks out then I'll have an offer from them.
"I am going up to IU for a spring practice sometime soon, probably within the next two weeks. I am getting recruited by IU as a running back. They haven't offered any running backs in our class from Indiana yet, so I can't say who they are going to offer.
"I am probably going to be at Florida State soon, but I don't have a set date yet."
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Bellamy holds offers from Cincinnati, Akron, Toledo and Western Michigan. Each of the schools he plans to visit over the next few weeks have been in regular communication.
"A lot of schools have been picking up interest with emails every day and letters every day," Bellamy noted.
Bellamy has not been able to take any campus visits in recent weeks as he is preparing to take the ACT and also running indoor track. His personal best in the 55 meters this winter was a time of 6.48.
