Bellaire OT has offers, more on the way

Houston Bellaire has been known more as a basketball school than a football one over the past decade but the Cardinals had quite a bit of success this past year. With the talent returning in 2012, Bellaire could make even more noise this time around.
Lining up at offensive tackle is Dwayne Johnson. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound junior is physically imposing on the hoof and has impressed college coaches in pads as well since he has a handful of offers.

"I've been offered by SMU, Tulsa, Colorado, Texas Tech and North Texas," Johnson said. "They've all come in the spring.
"A few of them really caught me off-guard. SMU caught me off-guard and Colorado caught me off-guard. North Texas did too. Texas Tech offered me about a month ago."
A few other schools could be close to joining the mix for Johnson as well.
"Duke and Cal are really interested," he said. "I think both of them might offer me at some point soon. Wake Forest might [offer] too."
Johnson has had the opportunity to visit a pair of in-state programs this spring and plans to see some out-of-state ones over the summer.
"I've visited Texas Tech and SMU so far," he said. "I'm looking to go to Colorado, Cal and Tulsa this summer."
As far as favorites, Johnson has not narrowed anything down at this point.
"They're all about the same right now," he said. "I'd say they're all medium interest."
*Johnson's offensive linemate at Bellaire, Charles Sanders, also claims offers from North Texas and Texas Tech.
