Bell takes visit, pulls the trigger

Though it seemed like Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point running back Cameron Bell was a ways away from a final decision, that all changed after his third official visit this past weekend.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder took a trip to New Mexico State last week and had big news when he returned.

"This may shock you, but I went ahead and committed to New Mexico State," Bell said. "I chose them because I felt that it was the best place for me. I prayed about it and that's where God told me I needed to be. Just for me, I know that I may be sacrificing some carries because they're more of a pass-oriented school.
"But, it may be one of the better schools for me to have a shot at the pros. In that offense, you get the opportunity to pass protect, catch the ball, and run the ball."
Bell previously had taken official visits to Michigan State and UTEP, both of which had offered. Right now, he says that he's as solid as he possibly can be.
"You can't ever say it's over because you never know what could happen," Bell said. "For the most part though, I'm solid."
