Bell ringing soon for Kansas

With the recent resurgence of the Kansas football program it’s hard for recruits not to notice what’s going on the field in Lawrence and one of the players that has taken a good look at the Jayhawks and liked what he saw was Wichita (Kan.) Northwest three-star all-purpose back Odell Bell.
“Kansas is my top team, and they’ve been recruiting me the hardest,” said Bell, a three-star back that is 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds. “KU has been on me since day one basically and that’s something that I’m really excited about. I know they’re winning games now and the coaches have the program on the right track.”

It sounds like Bell could be close to a commitment?
“I’ve thought about it some, but I’m still going to take my time and look things over,” he said. “I’d like to take an official visit or two. But it might be cool to play with John Randle. He and I are pretty good friends.”
Bell said he has scholarship offers from Kansas and Wyoming and a previous offer from Colorado State is no longer likely on the table since the Rams haven’t called him in the fall calling period. Bell said he’d like to hear more from Kansas State and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys have been calling regularly and the Wildcats have been calling semi-regularly.
“I’ve been to games at KU and OSU,” he said. “I liked the setting at both places. It would be cool to play at places like that.”
