Bell making Big 12 plans

Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point running back Cameron Bell is preparing to make a new commitment.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder will be hosting Iowa State coach Gene Chizik this evening and apparently has plans to make a new decision. According to Bell, that's not probable. It's going to happen for sure.

"They're going to come by tonight and make the official offer," Bell said. "Coach Chizik has been recruiting me since he was at Texas and sending me stuff since I was a sophomore. After talking to people I trust, they said I should take a look at [Iowa State].
Bell technically isn't committed to New Mexico State at this point. He says that he didn't' want to take this weekend's official visit to Iowa State with a pledge in the books to another school.
However, New Mexico State also told Bell that he wouldn't have a spot remaining if he wasn't a solid commitment. The two went their separate ways and now the Texas running back is looking to make a new commitment.
The Cyclones' new head coach is a big reason for Bell's high interest.
"He's the man," Bell said. "It's unbelievable what he's already done since he's been there. I got to speak with people at the university and they say he's going to be the next great coach. Something that really amazed me was that he know show to win. I'm going to get a chance to come in and get an equal shot at playing running back or linebacker.
"So, I'm going to make it official with the coaches when they come by tonight."
