Bell looking to prove himself

Linebacker Brandon Bell of Mays Landing (N.J.) Oakcrest already has eight offers, but he may be close to a few more. He is also hoping to prove himself at several upcoming events this spring.
"Recruiting really picked up during the last month," said Bell, who is 6-foot-2 and 216-pounds. "Kinda on a spurt."

Bell's most recent offer came in from Syracuse, and he previously held offers from programs like Rutgers, Connecticut, Northwestern, Maryland, West Virginia, Syracuse and Temple. Aside from these schools, Bell has also been receiving increased interest recently from Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State.
Up next for Bell are two likely visits to check out schools that have already extended an offer.
"I'm working out my schedule to get to West Virginia and Maryland soon," said Bell.
Bell will also attend several events in the coming months, including the Rivals.com/VTO Sports Camp in New Jersey on April 22nd, plus a Nike Camp and the NUC 150 Camp. He has a goal in mind at each of these events.
"I just want to show that I'm one of the top players in the state and I want to see how I compare to others in the region," said Bell.
When it comes to recruiting, Bell is starting to get an idea of when he would like to make a final decision.
"It will most likely be during or after my senior season," said Bell. "I want to find a school with a winning environment and hopefully an equal opportunity to see the field."
