Bell has Miners ahead

Things keep getting better for Arlington (Texas) Grace Prep defensive back Derrius Bell. The talented young man has added his second scholarship offer to the mix and that has affected his leaders.
"Yes sir, UTEP just offered," Bell said. "I have to admit, it was kind of different. I went down to watch my brother in the spring game and they offered me face-to-face. The coaches were real cool. I think they would be the leader right now."

The Miners having the lead has a lot to do with the fact that his brother, Dustin Bell, is on the roster for UTEP.
"I've been down their twice, so I know the place fairly well," Bell said. "I haven't been to Baylor yet. Wisconsin though is a school that I think is in the mix because they've been recruiting me hard and so is Texas A&M."
Just because a leader is in place and offers are starting to come in rather quickly, Bell is not going to rush his final decision.
"I'm going to wait things out," he said. "I'm not going to commit until next February or sometime around there. I've got to take some more visits before I commit anywhere."
Bell is being recruited by coach Tim Duffie for UTEP and coach Larry Hoefer for Baylor.
