Behrens still taking his time

When you play football for Omaha (Neb.) Millard North the last thing you expect is to be struggling with a 1-3 record, but that’s the story for three-star fullback Jake Behrens and his teammates. But still Behrens is keeping a positive outlook on the situation.
“We haven’t lost a division game, so we still have a chance to turn this thing around and make the playoffs,” Behrens, who is 6-foot and 219 pounds, said.

“I’ve been playing pretty good and the losses have kind of been out of my hands. We lost two games by a touchdown and we lost another by a missed extra point. We could have kicked the field goal to win that game, too.”
Behrens is kicking it on the recruiting front. With offers from Colorado and Stanford, Behrens said he’s still taking his time with the recruiting process.
“It’s still pretty much the same,” he said.
“I have gotten a new team calling me every once in a while. Kansas State has been calling me. Coach Miller wants me to come down for a game. I’m also still talking to Nebraska, too. I went to their season opener and that was pretty neat.”
