Position: Offensive Tackle/Defensive Tackle
Size and Speed: Booker stands 6-foot-4, weighs 335 pounds and runs the 40 in 5.3. His bench is 350 pounds, squats 450 and power cleans 240.
Honors: N/A.
Statistics: N/A.
Favorite Colleges: Booker is getting looks from Cal, Fresno State, San Jose State, Nevada and UNLV.
Skinny: Booker has some work to do academically at this point and he is working hard to improve his academic status. He will be a huge recruit once his academic questions are answered.
Booker is a terrific offensive lineman who plays weak side tackle. He’s an excellent technician on both the passing and run blocking disciplines.
“John is a very intelligent football player,” Hayward head coach Casey Moreno said. “Instead of our center calling the blocking schemes, John could.”
“John asks the right questions,” Moreno said. “When I need to know what’s going on out there on the field during a game, I ask John. When you talk to John it is like talking to a coach. He has a great knowledge for the game and has an advanced knowledge of both offensive and defensive schemes.”
Booker is an outstanding young who has all the intangibles to be a good one on the next level. He also plays defensive tackle but it will be on the offensive side of the ball where he will get his scholie.
