Becton takes his first official

Three-star offensive tackle Nick Becton took his first official visit over the weekend. The Wilmington (N.C.) New Hanover lineman stayed in-state and visited North Carolina State.
"It went well," he said. "I got there on Friday. The first night I had dinner and then met with the players. I went back to the dorms with my player host, Andre Brown.

"It was good. I've known him and he told me how state is a big-time school and about staying at home."
On Saturday, Becton met with the players more and talked with the coaches.
"I saw the players working out a bit," he said. "I also got to talk with Coach Horton, Petercuskie and Tom O'Brien.
"They talked to me about how they need my help on the offensive line. They discussed what it was like to be there and what they are trying to do. I think I fit in pretty well."
Currently Becton refrains from naming a leader.
"I had a good time," he said. "I got to know some of the players and the coaches gave me an idea about how stuff goes there," he said. "It's a good school. I know more about NC State than other schools, but I don't have any leaders."
North Carolina State is one of five schools receiving visits from Becton. He will next travel to Virginia Tech this weekend, followed by Penn State on December 14th.
He also has visits to Alabama and South Carolina on January 11th and 18th.
