Becton takes an unofficial

Wilmington (N.C.) New Hanover offensive tackle Nick Becton took an unofficial visit last weekend. The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder stayed in-state and watched NC State battle Central Florida.
"It was a good visit and they have a nice atmosphere there," he stated. "I talked to the coaches a little bit before the game and then after. It was good to hear Coach O'Brien say how much they needed me.

"In the game, they started off kind of slow. They did come back in the second half but it wasn't enough. I did like what I saw from the schemes the offensive line ran and they've got some depth there."
The three-star prospect isn't done taking visits as plans to head to East Carolina this weekend.
So far, Becton hasn't scheduled any official visits.
"I'll probably try to take all five of those at the end or after the season."
It's been a tough start for Becton and New Hanover as they have gone 1-2.
"We played three games already and had two close losses," he said. "I think we're getting more focused now. I've been playing pretty good, although I could always player better."
