East St. Louis (Ill.) defensive end Terry Beckner Jr. started off the 2015 class ranked as the No. 31 prospect in the country. He boasts an impressive offer list, but is still in the infancy of his recruitment.
"The last offer I got was USC. That was a little while back, during the season," Beckner said. "I have an uncle that lives out there, but I have never been out there."
In fact, Beckner has not been able to visit any college programs over the last few months. He stayed close to home while East St. Louis was putting together a 2013 campaign that lasted until the state semifinals, and has not scheduled any visits in the coming months.
"It just depends on my schedule because I always stay busy. I am playing basketball now," Beckner said. "I am probably just going to wait until my senior year to look at this thing."
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Beckner estimated his junior season statistics at over 100 tackles, 12 sacks and he had two interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown. This comes after an impressive off-season in which he worked against the top players in the country at events like the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour.
"I was more physical than I was last year and a lot quicker," Beckner said.
