Becker stays home with commitment

Plymouth (Minn.) Wayzata linebacker Tommy Becker had narrowed things down to Minnesota and Iowa State going into his official visit this weekend with the Gophers.
"It went well," Becker said. "I liked it a lot. I committed to Minnesota.
"I pretty much knew what was going to come on the visit. The main part was hanging out with the players. I just felt comfortable there."
Two of the players Becker spent time with had already committed to Minnesota.
"I hung out with Adam Weber and Andy Brinkhaus," Becker said. "They're going to be part of this class."
The 6-foot-3 and 230 pound Becker made 100 tackles during his senior season despite missing two games with a deep thigh bruise. Becker is the No. 7 prospect in the state of Minnesota in the player rankings.
