Becker narrows field to two

Fresh off a state championship, Plymouth (Minn.) Wayzata linebacker Tommy Becker is now focused on recruiting. In fact he has narrowed things down to two schools.
"I visited Iowa State this past weekend," Becker said. "I'm going to Minnesota this weekend. I'm just going to stick with those two. I canceled my (Dec. 16) visit to Kansas."

When asked if he has a favorite, Becker said, "That's unfair to say right now. I was blown away with my visit to Iowa State. It was better than I expected.
"But I want to take this Minnesota visit, then decide shortly after that."
Becker is planning to listen to last ditch pitches from his two finalists.
"Coach Shaw from Minnesota is coming here Tuesday. I think (Iowa State assistant) Coach Allen is coming next week."
The 6-foot-3 and 230 pound Becker made 100 tackles during his senior season despite missing two games with a deep thigh bruise. Becker is the No. 7 prospect in the state of Minnesota in the Rivals.com player rankings.
