The Oregon State Beavers bounced back from their bowl loss and got back on the winning track when defensive end/tight end Keith Robertson (6-3, 235, 4.6) from Lake Oswego, Ore., committed to Dennis Erickson and Oregon State.
Robertson is considered one of the best players in the Northwest for the class of 2003.
Robertson had an outstanding senior season on both sides of the ball and was selected 1st-team all-league and 1st-team all-state on both sides of the ball.
From his tight end position Robertson caught 15 touchdown passes over the last two. As a junior he had seven receptions but six for touchdowns.
As a defensive end, Robertson was domination in motion racking up 20 sacks as a senior. That performance follows a ten sack effort as a junior. Robertson has over 180 tackles over the last two years.
Robertson chose the Beavers over offers from other northwest powers Oregon and Washington.
Great get for the Beavers.
