Beavers land three-star QB

The Oregon State Beavers have landed a quarterback with a penchant for winning in C.J. Bacher (6-2, 180, 4.6) from Carmichael (Calif.) Jesuit. This is a bit of a surprise because Bacher wanted to take his visits before he decided but one trip to Corvallis was all it took.
“I was actually going to wait it out until I made my choice,” Bacher said. “But once I got to Corvallis I felt this was a place where I could be comfortable for four-to-five years.”

“It wasn’t in the plans for me to commit to Oregon State when I visited,” Bacher said. “But I talked to my Dad about it Sunday morning and I told that that Oregon State was the place for me.”
Bacher summarized his reasons for choosing Oregon State University. “The fact OSU has a really unique business program,” Bacher said. “Coach (Mike) Riley and his staff's very positive coaching style and probability of sticking around.”
“The players are great guys and great football players, the opportunity to play in the PAC 10, playing for a nationally ranked team that is close enough to home to allow family to see some games, great facilities, and the opportunity to compete early for playing time, are all reasons that I chose Oregon State,” Bacher said. “When it's right, it's right.”
Oregon State won the services of Bacher over other offers from Arizona, Wyoming, Utah, Utah State, San Jose State, Boise State and more.
Bacher has completed 84 passes out 126 attempts (66.7%) for 1,427 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Bacher and his mates have already clinched a spot in the playoffs for the third straight time since he has been starting quarterback.
