Beavers land behemoth

The Oregon State Beavers picked up the commitment of sleeper prospect offensive lineman/defensive lineman Andy Levitre (6-3, 315, 5.6) from Felton (Calif.) San Lorenzo Valley. Levitre is a recent arrival to California from Louisiana.
The Beavers win the services of Levitre over offers from LSU and Fresno State.

Stanford, Cal, Washington and Oregon also recruited Levitre.
Levitre took an unofficial visit to Oregon State over the summer liked the area. It was at this time that the campus in Corvallis had a viable chance for his services.
Levitre cited that he liked the coaching staff and facilities that Oregon State.
In interview with Rivals.com’s BeaverBlitz, Levitre said, “Oregon State just seems like the right fit. I’m glad everything just worked out.”
Levitre also had a lot of interest in Stanford but it didn’t look like it was going to work out between Levitre and Stanford.
Stanford’s loss is Oregon State’s gain.
Levitre plays both ways for San Lorenzo Valley but he will line up on the offensive line for the Beavers as a center or guard.
“I’ll play wherever the coaching staff wants me to play,” Levitre said. “I just want to help the team.”
The Beavers get a player who is very quick for ten yards and he has good footwork. Levitre has all the tangibles and intangibles that will spell success on the D-I level. He also has a team-first attitude that coaches love and of course he’s very coachable.
Levitre benches 325 and squats a very impressive 575.
Nice get for the Beavers.
