SAN ANTONIO - After Jamire Calvin spent a week in San Antonio impressing with his receiving skills, he announced at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that he’ll look to continue doing that for Oregon State.
Calvin was thought to have been considering Nebraska, in part because of Mike Riley’s success as former head coach of the Beavers, but Calvin chose to commit to the school and not the coach. In addition to Oregon State and Nebraska, Calvin was also considering Alabama, Notre Dame and Washington State.
Calvin is now the Beavers’ second-highest ranked commit coming out of high school, joining California receiver Isaiah Hodgins. He finished his senior season with 86 catches for 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns.
