Beavers adds second early offer

DJ Beavers is just getting started with the recruiting process and he's already landed a couple nice offers from Cal and Miami.
The one from the Hurricanes is the newest offer for Beavers, a 2015 linebacker from Encino (Calif.) Crespi and even though he admits he isn't well-versed in the Miami football tradition, there will come a time when he studies up on that program.

There is definitely high interest in learning more.
"It was actually pretty surprising," Beavers said. "The coach called my coach and they started talking to me and they offered me.
"It's amazing. It feels great. I definitely need to sit down and learn more about them. I don't know too much about that program but I know they have a really good program and it would be perfect if I went there."
Beavers, who has looked good at multiple 7on7 events this off-season, now has two offers and a lot more interest coming in.
Since he's a 2015 prospect, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Beavers said most college coaches are just stopping by Crespi and telling him they're interested but not offering yet.
Still, he's excited that the attention has picked up a great deal especially since the start of the spring evaluation period and it seems like any time a new offer could be given out.
"Colleges are coming by every so often but nothing really big yet," Beavers said. "There isn't too much to report yet just some coaches stopping by and saying they're looking at me."
Two Pac-12 programs in particular are showing the most interest. Beavers said Cal and UCLA have been the most aggressive in recruiting him and he's highly interested in both teams since they're close to home and really selling their respective schools well.
"Cal and UCLA are the two biggest ones I've been hearing a lot from," Beavers said. "Those are pretty much the top ones right now."
