Beaver intrigued by new offer

Arizona's coaching staff watched Brandon Beaver's highlight tape and felt they had to offer the Compton (Calif.) Dominguez cornerback. He plays a physical style on defense, just like the Wildcats and they thought Beaver would be a perfect fit.
The 6-foot-1, 176-pound prospect is thrilled with his latest offer and said Arizona is one of his favorites. He's going to take a serious look at the program and will strongly consider the Wildcats moving forward.

"They haven't been recruiting me for a while but I've always had interest," Beaver said. "I always liked Arizona. They gave my coach a call and I spoke to them and they offered me.
"They said they saw my highlight tape and they like how I'm a physical corner and that's the style of defense they play. They're really physical, and they said I could fit in really well with the Wildcat family. They said they had to offer me."
The defensive philosophy at Arizona is important to Beaver, who likes to play tough and physical at cornerback and that's what the Wildcats liked most about him. Finding a program that will let him play that way is important in his recruitment. Arizona is one of those places.
"It's really important for me to find a comfort zone and for me to feel like I can go in and play and compete," Beaver said. "I'm definitely going to really consider them as one of my top schools."
Washington, UCLA, Cal and Arizona State are some of the other schools Beaver is taking a serious look at as his recruitment moves forward. Colorado, Fresno State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, SMU and Tennessee have also offered.
