Beaver decides to be patient

Brandon Beaver was so close to making his commitment earlier this summer that a press conference was being set up so he could announce his decision but now the Compton (Calif.) Dominguez cornerback plans to wait - and take all his visits.
The only one Beaver has set up is for Nebraska when it hosts Fresno State on Sept. 10 but other trips to Washington, Arizona and maybe other places will also be scheduled probably for after the season.

Getting out to Lincoln will be important for Beaver, a 6-foot-1, 176-pound prospect who's rated No. 12 at cornerback, No. 114 in the 2012 class and No. 19 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com.
"I'm looking forward to that trip a lot," Beaver said. "I really want to see what Nebraska has to offer and what it's like out there. I know it's really different.
"One of the big reasons why I'm interested in Nebraska is because of their tradition up there. It's a big deal for me to see that."
Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, UCLA and Washington are considered the favorites for Beaver, who said he plans to sit back in his recruitment at this point, wait things out and probably take most of his visits later on.
"I don't want to rush anything," Beaver said. "I want to see some schools and make the right decision. I want to see as much as I can and learn as much as I can before I make my commitment."
Rumors have continued for months about Beaver's college destination.
Washington was pinpointed as a favorite early this summer when Beaver was expected to make his decision and then last month around the time of the B2G Elite Camp it was rumored that he was a silent commit to UCLA.
Now Beaver just plans to wait things out and let his recruitment play out over the next few months.
