Beaurem makes a commitment

Sterling Heights (Mich.) Stevenson wide receiver Marcus Beaurem picked up his first offer a week ago, but quickly followed that up with offer No. 2. The second offer was the one that really caught the 5-11, 170-pound receiver's interest and on Tuesday he decided to accept it.
"I committed to Bowling Green," Beaurem announced. "It was just the vibe that they had for me and my family, all the support they were showing and the opportunity to start as a freshman."

Beaurem picked up his offer from Bowling Green last Friday after camping at the school. It was his second offer of the process after picking up one from Central Michigan earlier that week.
"I felt this the day we got there and I talked to my position coach, Mark Carney, Coach [Dave] Clawson, the recruiting coordinator and the offensive coordinator. Once we all talked, it just clicked," Beaurem said. "It was on my mind the whole weekend and I asked my dad about committing on Sunday."
As a junior, Beaurem caught 53 passes for 830 yards and six touchdowns for Sterling Heights Stevenson. He has 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash and is excited about the opportunity to play immediately for the Falcons.
"I'm going to be playing slot receiver and a little bit of kick returner here and there," Beaurem said. "They said it is basically going to come down to me and how fast I learn the playbook. They just want me to develop this year, take my visit and we'll go from there. They liked my highlight tape, what I could do in small spaces and how I could turn a five yard pass into a touchdown."
Besides Bowling Green and Central Michigan, Beaurem had also been hearing from the likes of Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.
