Beaumont defensive end with two favorites

Beaumont Central defensive end Brian Davis hasn't picked up his first scholarship offer yet, but his mailbox has been full of letters from several different schools.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder says that schools such as Kansas State, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, and TCU have been sending mail. Two of those schools stand out to the versatile defender.

"I like Oklahoma State and Kansas State," Davis said. "I just like the defenses that they play. Kansas State plays the same defense we play and I like how Oklahoma State runs their defense too."
Both schools are also looking at Davis at different spots. Kansas State has told him that they're evaluating him as an outside linebacker while Oklahoma State has said linebacker or defense end.
"I'd rather be at defensive end," Davis said. "For me, I'm better with my hand down on the ground than I am standing up."
Davis says he's unsure of how many coaches will show up in the spring, but hopes to see some here and in the fall.
"The schools just say that they'll be watching me this fall," Davis said. "I've just been getting a lot of letters right now and then some schools want me to come to their camps."
