Beasley picks up Alabama offer

Every where Victor Beasley has been this spring, he has made an impression. The lengthy, physical and athletic prospect followed up a great performance at the University of Tennessee camp in Knoxville with a trip to Tuscaloosa for Alabama's prospect camp. Once again, Beasley impressed. This time he walked away with an offer.
"They said they liked me and stuff," Beasley said of his conversation with the Alabama staff. "I know I've been high on their radar and they liked me out at the camp. I was down there two days and I think I showed my skills and showed how I can compete."

Because of his unique athleticism and his size, Beasley could project as an outside linebacker, a defensive end, even a tight end or a situational receiver. Beasley doesn't know where Alabama would like to use him. In fact, neither does the Alabama staff.
"They said they can use me at all of those positions," he said. "They don't know. They're just wanting me as an athlete and move me wherever I'll fit best."
Beasley has seen his stock skyrocket throughout the spring and has suddenly picked up numerous options to play college ball. The Alabama offer almost became the last option he needed.
"I was just happy and excited," he said. "It's always been a school I liked a lot. I'm going to weight my options and it'll probably be down to them and two other schools."
Was Beasley close to committing on the spot?
"I was tempted to commit but my father doesn't want me to commit right now," he said. "I'm going to see what he has to say when I get to the house and we'll weigh my options."
