Bears roar with super commit

It is being reported in both local papers the L.A. Times and the L.A. Daily News that the Cal Berkeley Bears have landed one of the best quarterbacks in the state of California in four star Nathan Longshore (6-5, 226, 4.8) from Canyon Country (Calif.) Canyon.
Longshore has all the intangibles that equal success on the D-I level. He’s smart, a tremendous leader and of course he has a bazooka for an arm.

Once Longshore gets under the tutelage of Bear head coach and quarterback guru, Jeff Tedford, he could become a very special player.
A devout member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, Longshore will being going on his mission and after he is through, he will join the Cal football team.
Longshore is rated rivals.com as the nation’s number seven pro-style quarterback prospect for the class of 2004, he is also a member of Super West 60 team with a ranking of 21 at any position and he came in at number 17 on rivals.com California Top 100 team at any position.
Rivals.com has not talked to Longshore yet, but if his commitment holds true to Cal, the quarterback position for the Bears will be in great hands.
The Bears win the services of Longshore over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, San Diego State, BYU, UNLV, Nevada, Colorado and more. Local schools UCLA and USC also showed a lot of interest in Longshore.
It looks like a great get for Cal.
