Bears pull off late surprise
In a mild upset Long Beach (Calif.) Poly standout defensive lineman Josh Tauanu’u (6-4, 285, 4.85) will not end up in Oregon as previously thought. He will end up with the Cal Bears. The Bears have one of the best defensive line classes on the west coast.
Tauanu'u is a rare three year starter for Poly and he even played some offense his sophomore year. Poly rarely plays anyone both ways. For Tauanu’u to log anytime on offense gives you an indication of this guy’s overall athletic ability.

You have to take off your hat to Jeff Tedford and his hard working staff. This class of recruits is the best Bear class that we can remember.
