Bears land stellar athlete

Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw athlete prospect Daymeion Hughes (5-11, 180, 4.5) has made Cal Bear fans happy with his commitment. According to a source, Hughes has canceled all other visits.
There shouldn’t be any doubts now what direction the Cal program is going under the direction Jeff Tedford.

If Cal continues to recruit players of the ilk of Hughes than long suffering Bear fans will finally smell the roses on January 1st after a four decade plus absence.
Hughes is an outstanding athlete who projects a lockdown cover corner for the Bears. He had nine interceptions during his senior year.
Hughes has wanted to go to Cal for sometime. He has always been intrigued by Cal’s academic standards and would have probably committed to the Bears regardless of how well they’re playing. That Tedford has them playing competitive football is just icing on the cake.
Great get for Jeff Tedford and the fast charging Cal Bears.
