Bears land gold in three star DE

Three-star strongside defensive end Nuu Tafisi (6-1, 260, 4.7) from Walnut (Calif.) Mt. SAC was scheduled for a visit to Arizona State, but he didn’t make that trip, Tafisi ended up at Cal instead and are the Bears ever happy that he did.
“The Cal trip went good,” Tafisi said. “I enjoyed myself, I also committed to Cal while I was there.”

“Coach (Ken) Delgado has been recruiting me from the beginning of the year,” Tafisi said. “So I felt more loyalty to him.”
It came down to a three-way horse race between Cal, Oregon and Oregon State with the Bears winning this key recruiting battle.
Tafisi also had offers from Arizona, ASU, Utah and Boise State.
The deciding factor was that Delgado was on him from the beginning of the recruiting process and that made all the difference in the world.
The Bears get a player in Tafisi who has a non-stop motor. He had to fight through double and triple teams all season long. He still racked up 59 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. His outstanding sophomore season saw him be selected Defensive Player of the Year.
Bears get a good one here.
Tafisi is a December grad and has three years to play two.
