Bears add in-state linebacker
According to Cedar Hill, Texas, coach Joey McGuire, one of his standout seniors has made a commitment to play college football in the Big 12.
“Geoff is heading to Baylor,” McGuire said.

Geoff as in Geoff Nelson, a 6-foot-2 and 225-pound two-star outside linebacker/defensive end.
“He’s kind of a tweener,” McGuire said. “If he’s an inch taller, he’s a guy that everybody wants. If he’s going to play end he’ll have to be a speed guy on the edge, but he did play linebacker as a junior, so he knows what it takes to play there.”
