Bearcats nab versatile LB

Centerville, Ohio linebacker Will Johnson made his pledge earlier in the week according to his head coach Ron Ullery. The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder committed to Cincinnati over offers from Eastern Michigan and Marshall.
"He did commit to Cincinnati within the past week," Ullery said. "I know he looked at the situation at Cincinnati and really like coach Dantonio. He has been up there numerous times this year and really likes the facilities and players he's met there. There really weren't any negatives about the school for him. I think it came down to the fact he felt very comfortable there."

With that said, what kind of player are the Bearcats getting?
"They are getting an outstanding talent," he said. "He is one that is very versatile and I believe they want him to play safety, but if they need a cornerback or wide receiver he could play that too.
"Personally I believe safety is his best position and he's a top tier collegiate talent. He has great ball sense and good size. He's also just a physical player with great hands. Aside from that, they are also getting an outstanding young man with a terrific work ethic. That's a quality we look for here and he has it."
