Bearcats first to offer Florida DB

Miami (Fla.) Norland cornerback Jeremiah Dinson has the size and skill set that has begun to draw the attention of major college coaches.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder picked up his first offer recently from Cincinnati.

"I walked in the office last Friday and coach was on the phone with Coach (Steve) Clinkscale," Dinson said. "He gave him the thumbs up."
While the Bearcats had Dinson on the radar prior to the offer, the fact that he has not yet been able to make a visit there leaves him with much to learn about the program.
"I really haven't looked into Cincinnati like that. It's funny because the coach, he came to the school one time and that was the day that I left early. We're trying to get a visit set up," he explained.
Dinson, who has visited Florida State for a junior day and plans on heading to Alabama next month for a similar event, is also hearing from Arkansas and Florida International. Florida Atlantic could offer this week when he visits for junior day.
Where does the Sunshine State product excel on the field?
"The first thing is that I would say I'm very vocal," he said. "Calling out different plays, being a leader on the field. My ball skills are improved. My aggressiveness, that's my strength. I bring a lot of stuff to the table."
As a student with a 3.3 grade point average, academics are important to Dinson and will be a major factor in his recruitment.
"On the next level, my major is hospitality and tourism. I know a lot of colleges have that. Education comes before football. That's all I want right now, what schools are going to help me get my degree."
During his junior season, Dinson picked off three passes and also added 25 tackles and a pair of forced fumbles. He plans on taking his time making a decision.
"I will try to wrap up a decision sometime after the season," he said. "That gives me more time to look at schools and take more visits."
