Bearcat offer in route to Plain City

Plain City (Ohio) Alder defensive tackle Josh Davis picked up his first scholarship offer in February, from Indiana. It looks like a second offer is on the way for the 6-foot-6 defensive tackle.
"Cincinnati should be on the way," Davis said. "It is not here yet, but their defensive line coach came to out school and said they will be offering."

Davis' second offer is just part of a busy spring evaluation period. Davis said Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Bowling Green, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, and Boston College have stopped by his school. With a 6-foot-6 frame, Davis offers versatile skills along both lines.
"I will play either way, offense or defense," Davis said.
Davis visited Vanderbilt, Illinois, and Ohio State earlier this spring.
"Vanderbilt has a nice campus," Davis said. Their coaches were great."
"Illinois, I have been there before. It was good to see them again. I got to meet their new coaches. I love their weight room."
"I have been to Ohio State so many times. I went to their spring game. That was unexpected to see that kind of a crowd for a spring game."
As for future scholarship offers, Davis said Illinois has not said anything specifically about a scholarship, but their coaches seem very positive.
"Illinois said they are really interested, the offensive line coach is really fired up about me. They are going to come out here again on Friday. They want to see me in camp first."
Davis said Ohio State, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt would like to see him in camp as well. He said he has no favorites at this time.
