Beach DB Thomas starts to consider visits

Virginia Beach (Va.) Kempsville safety Mason Thomas is sitting on four scholarship offers. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder is starting to think about visits as interest from more schools is coming in.
"I have four offers from Norfolk State, Old Dominion, Kent State and Delaware," he said. "A lot of BCS schools are saying they want to check out my first couple games and for me to send some film up to them. Virginia, NC State and North Carolina are interested in checking me out a bit more."

Is Thomas beginning to contemplate visits?
"I plan on taking a visit to Kent State for an official," he said. "I also want to go to Delaware to take a visit there. But, I want to see what else comes in towards the middle and end of the season."
While Thomas has visits in mind, nothing is set at this time.
However, he did discuss those two schools more.
"They are both a little further away than my other offers in Norfolk State and Old Dominion," he said. "I know Delaware had Joe Flacco there and they were national champs. I just want to meet these coaching staffs as a whole and see what they have in store."
Mason and Kempsville dropped their season opener last week in a tough 7-3 loss to Salem.
"It was a tough loss," he said. "I did pretty well. I had about two or three deflections and six or seven tackles. We played strong defensively."
