Beach 2011 OT is getting interest

Recruiting is rising for an offensive tackle in Hampton Roads. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder has a few schools taking an interest so far and more are sure to come in the future.
"He's a heavyweight wrestler as well as a football player," Virginia Beach (Va.) Cox head coach Bill Stachelski said of offensive lineman Ross Burbank. "He's been starting since his sophomore year on the offensive line and at defensive tackle.

"We're expecting great things from him. His brother took a wrestling scholarship to Old Dominion. I don't know which way Ross is leaning."
Stachelski discussed his star lineman further.
"Ross has a real even temperament," he said. "He's durable and in great shape for a big guy. He doesn't want to come off the field. He's our starting right tackle.
"As far as position, I can't tell which one he's better at. He had close to 40 tackles this season at defensive tackle. He plugs up the middle real well. Offensively we run behind him on the toss."
Colleges are already taking notice.
"Boston College, Maryland, Virginia Tech and a few other Division I schools have inquired about him," he said. "I'm venturing to guess he'll be a hot recruit based on his size and the fact he's got a good GPA and is a three-year starter."
Burbank may not be the only recruit getting interest at Cox in 2011.
"We've got a 5-foot-10, 190-pound defensive back, Devaul Peterson," he said. "He rushed for about 700-yards and eight touchdowns. He's a real hard worker and a down hill runner. He's a good student too."
