BCS offers come in for Jersey WR

Late offers are popping up for Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township wide receiver Brandon Jones. In the past few weeks, offers have come for the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder from the ACC, Big East and Big Ten.
"I got offered by Virginia and Iowa two weeks ago and Rutgers this past week," he said. "Basically all the schools said they liked my tape and when they came to my school, they offered on the spot.

"I like Rutgers and Virginia a lot. Those are my top two and then I'm interested in Villanova."
What does Jones like about the Scarlet Knights and Cavaliers?
"I like them because they want me to play wide receiver," he said. "Other schools want me at cornerback, but I'd prefer to catch the ball."
The two-star prospect has scheduled one official for next month.
"I'm going to Virginia on January 25th," he said. "I'm probably not going to go on an official to Rutgers because I'd have to wait until February 2nd. I think I'm going to go on an unofficial there on Sunday January 6th, whenever the dead period ends."
This season Jones posted 42 receptions for 1,020-yards and 13 touchdowns. He added nine interceptions on defense, two returned for touchdowns and 72 tackles on his way to second team all-South Jersey and third team all-state honors.
