BC the newest offer for Van Lynn

Worthington (Ohio) Kilbourne lineman Carson Van Lynn saw his offer list expand on the first day college coaches could contact 2017 recruits via social media.
"On Sept. 1 (Boston College) Coach (Al) Washington asked me to call him," Van Lynn said. "When I called him he told me he was trying to get me an offer for awhile now. He offered me on that phone call."

The offer certainly caught Van Lynn's attention and has the central Ohio native interested in learning more about the program.
"I know Boston College is a great school for education and football," he said. "My cousin plays at Duke, so I've watched a couple of their games and know they are an up-and-coming program, a good program. Boston is definitely a city that interests me and the education is obviously fantastic."
Boston College is recruiting the 6-foot-6, 233-pound Van Lynn as an offensive tackle. He also holds offers from Kentucky and Toledo, with those schools recruiting him as an athlete and having discussed tight end, defensive end and offensive tackle.
This season for Worthington Kilbourne Van Lynn starts at offensive tackle and see action on passing downs at defensive end. He has recorded three sacks and 10 tackles from the defensive side of the football. He is open to playing any position colleges project him to.
Besides the three schools that have offered, Van Lynn is hearing from other schools that have interest and took a visit to one of those programs earlier this season.
"I visited Michigan State for the Oregon game," Van Lynn said. "I had a chance to talk to the recruiting coordinator and they still message me, ask how everything is going. I definitely was very impressed with Michigan State and like that school a lot."
Van Lynn also visited Toledo last weekend. He has a visit to Indiana planned for this upcoming weekend and is trying to get out for games at Kentucky and Boston College sometime this season.
