BC leads for Jersey linebacker

Linebacker/fullback Tom Walls is one of New Jersey's best and most physical players. Recruiting is heating up for him, and one school stands out as a clear number one.
"Boston College would be his top choice. They would also be my top choice," his father, Jim Walls laughed. "I would like to see him commit to Boston College, but it will ultimately be his decision. They're his leader, but he's being more patient about it than I am.

"We visited BC a few months ago and we were really impressed. They're putting down a new field, improving facilities and we think he can get some early playing time. Their academic tradition is outstanding. We talked to an academic advisor, and after hearing about the graduation rate for their football team and the academics at the school I was impressed. It was all I could think about on the ride home. He's got an official visit scheduled to BC for September 26th. We were pulling for them against Penn State, and we loved the outcome of the game. They showed a lot of heart, bouncing back from a tough loss against Wake Forest in such a difficult environment to play in."
Walls is a 6-foot-2, 239-pound linebacker/fullback from West Deptford, N.J. and he runs the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds. Who else is he considering?
"Maryland and Iowa are the other two schools he's looking at really hard," his father said. "He's trying to schedule an official visit to Iowa, but we haven't set a date yet.
Since coaches have been able to call again the phones have been ringing non-stop. We've gotten calls from BC, Maryland, Iowa, Rutgers, Virginia and Temple, and I know I'm forgetting some schools."
When can we expect a decision from Walls?
"He'll probably announce his decision in the next month or so. I don't think he's going to drag it out a long time."
As a junior Walls rushed for 1,379 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also made 128 tackles and 15 tackles for loss.
