BC Forward Deontae Hawkins Out for Season
Deontae Hawkins, a fifth year graduate transfer from Illinois State, will see his first season at Boston College--and possibly his last--cut short due to a knee injury suffered against Nebraska just a week ago. It was likely Hawkins would miss time, but losing him for the entire season is a big blow to the Eagles. It is unclear whether Hawkins will receive another year of eligibility.
Hawkins had started in the first 8 games of the season for BC, averaging 12.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1 assist in 28 minutes a game.
