Baytown WR talking with KSU, Illini

Baytown (Texas) Lee two-star receiver Michael Reed had a great senior season with 64 catches for 1,023 yards and 16 touchdowns. It’s that type of play that has brought out early scholarship offers from Baylor, Pittsburgh, Louisiana Tech and Toledo. But that might just be the tip of the iceberg.
“Well, I was going to commit to Baylor, but there was a little bit of confusion,” Reed, who is 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, said. “They had two spots open for receivers, and the day I called was the day the second receiver called and committed to them.

“So right now, that leaves me with some other people coming into the picture.”
One of those teams is Kansas State, who is lead by Ell Roberson, who graduated from Baytown Lee.
“Kansas State wants me to come up to visit on January 9,” Reed said. “They haven’t offered me yet. They just got my highlight tape and coach (Dick) Olin said they really liked what they saw. I also sent one out to Illinois too and they seemed to also like it.”
Utah is another team that’s showing interest in him. But at this point it looks like things could all hinge on if he gets offers from K-State or Illinois.
