Baytown LB has Big 12 offer

Who’s the best linebacker in the state of Texas that you’ve never heard of? His name is Ryan Hale, a 6-foot-1 ½, 210-pound inside linebacker from Baytown (Texas) Lee.
Hale, who recorded 95 tackles and 4 ½ sacks as a junior, earned second-team all-district honors for the Ganders, one of the perennial top teams in Houston.

“I fly to the ball and when I get there, I make something happen,” Hale said. “I started playing football when I was in the seventh grade. Then things just started happening. I started to pick things up better in high school. It was probably my sophomore year when I realized that I had the potential to play on the next level.”
And play he will.
Hale already has a scholarship from Texas Tech and is getting heavy interest from TCU, Louisiana Lafayette and Houston. He expects that number to increase quite a bit more when more film from his junior season makes it to the hands of college coaches.
But with Texas Tech as his early offer, it might be hard to beat the Red Raiders.
“I know they have a great offense,” Hale said. “And they have a better defense coming up.”
