Bayou RB has options

Edgard (La.) West St. John running back Patrick Jackson burst onto the scene about a month ago during the Louisiana class 2A state title game when he carried the ball 26 times for 267 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry en route to MVP honors. Since then he has picked up several big time offers which have made his recruitment very interesting.
"I visited Tulane on December 17," Jackson said. "That visit went real well. I have a visit set up to Duke for January 14, LSU on January 21 and Ole Miss on January 28. I still deciding on Michigan State and Louisiana Tech on which one will get the other official visit I have. I still want to try and take that one if possible."

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Jackson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and has a 305-pound bench press.
"All the schools are still equal at this point," Jackson said. "LSU offered me before coach Saban left, but I have not talked to coach Miles or anyone on the news staff. Coach Miles and Oklahoma State offered me as well so I would think that I still have an offer on the table, but until I talk to someone I am not for sure."
Jackson set records as a senior carrying the ball 298 times for 3,032 yards and 58 touchdowns as a senior.
"There is a possibility that I could go ahead and commit early, but right now I am planning to still take all of these visits," Jackson said. "I just want to see and learn as much about each school as possible."
